Man claims father, son battered him

  • Police say a verbal altercation led to the beating of an Albany man.

ALBANY — A man told police he was beaten by a man and the assailant’s son with a baseball bat and a clothes iron Wednesday night, according to police reports.

Rayfill Joseph, 47, of Albany walked into the Krystal restaurant on the 700 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard and collapsed, according to police reports.

Joseph told police he had been beaten by Curtis Clark and Clark’s son after a verbal altercation at 813 Byron Road, the report shows.

Police noticed lacerations on Joseph’s head and face, which Joseph said were caused when Clark and Clark’s son attacked him with a metal baseball bat and an iron.

He was taken to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital for treatment.

No arrests have been made. Anyone with information is asked to call the Albany Police Department at (229) 431-2100.
