Linda Long Abbott
CLINTON, TN Linda Long
Abbott 61, died April 9, 2008 at
the Vanderbilt Hospital in
Nashville, TN. She was a native of
Albany, GA and lived in Knox
County for the past twenty years
and a 1964 graduate of Albany
High School. She was in the real
estate business with Elite Realty
in Powell,TN for the past fifteen
years and was a multi-million
dollar producer for most of those
years.
Survivors include her parents,
Bill and Eunice Long of Albany,
Ga., her husband, Ron Abbott of
Powell, TN, two daughters,
Brandi Holder and husband Troy
of Knoxville, TN, Shellee Abbott
of Knoxville, TN, a brother, Eddie
Long of Albany, Ga., grandsons,
Chris and Austin Holder of
Knoxville, TN and a host of other
relatives and friends.
Lindas family received her
friends for a celebration of her life
on Sunday, April 13th from 2:00
- 4:00 PM at Jones Mortuary in
Clinton, TN. Interment will be
private. Jones Mortuary in Clinton,
TN is in charge of all
arrangements. In lieu of flowers

Johnson, 90, of Pelham, died
Monday, April 14, 2008 at Tift
Regional Medical Center in
Tifton.
Funeral services will be 2 P.M.
Wednesday, April 16 at the
funeral home with interment in
Pleasant Hill Church Cemetery.
Rev. Ronnie Morrell will officiate.
Born October 27, 1917 in
Colquitt Co., Mrs. Johnson was the
daughter of the late Reuben
Thornton and Gracie Lee
Washington Culpepper. She was
married to the late J.D. Mims and the
late Ira Judson Johnson. She
was preceded in death by a son
and daughter-in-law, G.L. and
Goodie Mims. Mrs. Johnson was
a homemaker and a member of
Cool Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include a grandson,
Karl Mims; two great
granddaughters; a sister-in-law,
Jesse Culpepper of Pelham; and
several nieces, nephews, and
cousins.
Visitation will be from 1-2 P.M.
Wednesday, one hour prior to
services at the funeral home.

2008 at her residence. Funeral

with interment in Westview

Rosa was born March 7, 1947
in Turner Co. She was educated
in the Worth Co. Public School
System, she worked as a
machine operator at a textile plant
and she was a member of
Jerusalem Freewill Baptist Church,
where she served as mother of
the church, and head of the
District Union.
Survivors include her husband,
Cleveland McGriff; four
daughters, Sherrie Lee McGriff,
Renase McGriff, Dinitia M.
Carithers, Lisa M. Holley, all of
Ashburn; 2 sons, Anthony B.
McGriff, Donald McGriff, both of
Ashburn; sister, Jane Green,
Ashburn; brother-in-law, Charles
Green, Ashburn; Aunt, Laura
Ingram, Vero Beach, FL.; Uncle,
Jimmy Ranson, Vero Beach, FL.;
thirteen grands, six great grands.
