Mollie J. Boggs
ALBANY The memorial service of Mollie J. Boggs, 61, of Leesburg, who died
Monday, April 14, 2008, at her residence, will be conducted Thursday at 11:00
A.M. at Mathews Funeral Home. The Rev. Bobby Moye will officiate. The family
will receive friends immediately following the service.
A native of and long time resident of Albany, Mrs. Boggs had resided in
Leesburg since 1983. She was a homemaker and retired from Delphi.
Survivors include her husband, Joe D. Boggs, Sr. of Leesburg, GA, a son, Joe
D. Boggs, II and his wife, Dianne, a daughter, Julie David-Deck and her
husband, Michael all of Albany, GA, a brother, Jimmy Ramsey and his wife Lisa
of Moultrie, GA, two sisters, Mary Griffin and her husband, William of
Leesburg, GA and Christine Hill of Worth Co., GA, four grandchildren, Joey
David and his wife, Wendy and Jordan Heather David all of Leesburg, GA,
Brandon David of Phoenix, AZ and Jody Boggs of Albany, GA and one
great-grandchild.

Kathleen G. Clegg
ALBANY The funeral service of Kathleen G. Clegg, 87, of 1114 Fifth Ave.,
Albany, GA, who died Sunday April 13, 2008 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital
will be conducted Friday April 18, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
The Rev. Walter Flint will officiate. Interment will follow in Floral Memory
Gardens Cemetery.
A native of Sumter Co., GA, born to John Livingston Griffin and Ruth
Pennington Griffin, Mrs. Clegg had resided in Albany since 1939. She was a
graduate of Thalean High School in Americus, GA. and Georgia Southwestern
College and was retired from Bell South. She was preceded in death by her
husband, Don Clegg. Mrs. Clegg was a member of Westminster Presbyterian
Church, Women of the Church, was the treasurer and a member of the Little
Flowers Sunday School Class and was active with all church activities.
Survivors include three daughters, Patricia Ramirez and husband, Juan, of
Miramar, FL., Barbara Ann Clegg of Gainesville, GA, Betty Clegg Parks and her
husband, Donnie of Roswell, GA, two sons, Ret. Lt. Col. Douglas (Doug) Clegg
and his wife, Bonnie of Woodbridge, VA, Jimmy Clegg and his wife, Dreka of
Albany, GA, nine grandchildren, Stephen Clegg, Janet Diaz, Donald Clegg,
Melissa McAdams, Tonya Forrester, Catherine Parks, Danny McDonald, Alex
Ramirez and Elizabeth Scheel, thirteen great-grandchildren and five
great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7:00
p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.

Virginia Pew Belk Lumpkin
ALBANY Virginia Pew Belk Lumpkin, 79, of 322 Southwood Drive died
Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at Dawson Manor Nursing Home in Dawson, GA. The
funeral will be 3 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2008 at Arcadia Baptist Church,
interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Raymond Polite, Pastor
and the Rev. Charles Rollins will officiate.
Mrs. Lumpkin was born, April 9, 1929 in Tolbotton, GA. She attended Talbot
County Public Schools and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Joyce Lumpkin Walker and Mrs. Jeanette
Chambers both of Miami, FL.; three sons, Mr. Terry Lumpkin, Mr. Anthony
Lumpkin and Mr. Gerry Lumpkin all of Miami, FL.; her father Mr. Richard Belk
of Albany and one brother, Mr. Andrew Belk, Jr. of Albany, 14 grandchildren
and 11 great-grandchildren.

ALBANY Margaret Valerie Carver Wingate of Albany died Wednesday, April 16,
