Meda Sellers Baron
MOULTRIE Meda Sellers Baron, 92, of Moultrie, died Thursday, April 17,
2008 at Sunrise Nursing Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM
Saturday, April 19, 2008 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ricky McLaughlin
and Rev. Gary Morris officiating. Interment will follow in Cobb Suncrest
Memorial Gardens. Phillip Baron, Joel Baron, John Baron, Andy Rhodes, Charles
Dexter and Cecil Rentz will serve as pallbearers.
Born July 9, 1915 in Colquitt County to the late Gibson and Louisiana Tucker
Sellers, she was a homemaker and a member of Hartsfield Methodist Church. Mrs.
Baron was a granddaughter of the late Henry Crawford Tucker, a pioneer settler
of Colquitt County. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Watson
Baron, a son, Tony Baron, two brothers, George Sellers and Preston Sellers,
and a sister Hattie Sellers Morris.
Survivors include four sons, Ray Baron and wife Betty of Moultrie, Robert
Baron of Moultrie, Oscar Baron and wife Emily of Moultrie, Guerry Baron and
wife Pam of Albany, four daughters, Connie Rhodes and husband Andy and Becky
B. Rentz and husband Cecil all of Moultrie, Kathy B. Becton of Coolidge and
Martha B. Dexter of Kennesaw, twenty four grandchildren, forty great
grandchildren nine great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 8 at Cobb
Funeral Chapel, and may be contacted at the home of Connie and Andy Rhodes,
104 Loblolly Road, Moultrie.

CAMILLA Jessie Mae Carr, 81, of Albany died Wednesday, April 16, 2208 at
Palmyra Nursing Home in Albany.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, April 19, 2008 at Parker-Bramlett
Funeral Home with interment to follow in Cool Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
The Rev. Ronald Barrett will officiate. Serving as pallbearers will be Randall
Taylor, Lee Taylor, Gary Ed Jones, Buddy Hall, Chance Hall and Rodney Hall.
Born November 23, 1926 in Mitchell County, Mrs. Carr was the daughter of the
late Ben Hall and Pearlie Shiver Hall. She was retired as an assistant manager
with S&H Green Stamps and a member of Byne Memorial Baptist Church in Albany.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Carr; a daughter, Sharon
Carr; and two sons, Tommy Carr and Donnie Carr.
Survivors include two sisters, ImoJean Taylor and her husband, Clyde of
Doerun and Lorene Austin of Newton; two brothers, Johnny Hall and wife Delores
of Brunswick and Jimmy Hall and wife, Betty of Doerun; a daughter-in-law, Judy
Carr of Albany and a special niece, Debra Hodges of Dawson.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. tonight (Friday, April 18, 2008) at
Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home.

TY TY Raymond Carlton Pork Chop Johnson, Jr., 55, of TY TY formerly of
Albany, died Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 20, 2008, in the
chapel of Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors with the Rev. Eddie Hutcheson
officiating. Burial will follow at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will
receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, April 19, 2008.
David Tucker, Fred Howell, Paul Howell, Steve Brannen, Bubba Taylor, Grady
Stedly, Ralph Freeland, and Curtis Houston will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Johnson was born June 22, 1952, in Jacksonville. FL. He had lived in
Tift County since 1994 where he was a member of Unity Baptist Church. Mr.
Johnson was a mechanic who loved cars. He was an avid hunter and fisherman,
and he loved his family and NASCAR.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his parents, Raymond C. Johnson, Sr., and Kay
Johnson of Keystone Heights, FL., and Betty Somers Wilson and Lee Wilson of
Albany; his wife Jo Ann Smoot Johnson of Ty Ty, two sons and two
daughters-in-law, Scott and Julie Freeland and Shawn and Kim Freeland, all of
Leesburg. Two daughters and one son-in-law, Sheri Freeland of Pelham and
Sommer and Patrick Roberts of Ty Ty; four sisters and one brother-in-law,
Debra and Richard Taylor of Albany,Dianna Hogue of Kentucky, Ivey Morgan and
Julie Holbrook, both of Jacksonville, FL.; one brother and one sister-in-law,
David Paul and Piper Johnson of Cleveland; grandchildren, Gabe Freeland,
Hobson McSwain, Holli Freeland, Windham McSwain, Cooper Freeland, Leon
McSwain, Lauren McSwain, Kelsey Freeland, and Parker Freeland; one
great-grandchild, Autumn McSwain; numerous nieces and nephews; and special
friends, Steve and Melissa Wood, and their children, Keith, Tyler and Ansley.
Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by two brothers.

DAWSON Bro. Livingston Lovely, 67 of 978 Johnson Street, Dawson, GA. died
on Friday, April 11, 2008 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services
will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at the First United
Baptist Church, (formerly Piney Grove) Terrell County, GA. The Rev. Marcus
Glass will officiate. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Dawson,
GA.
Bro. Livingston Lovely, the son of the late Lueviana Davis Lovely and
Junious Jim Lovely, was born in Morgan City, Louisiana on August 28 1940. He
was raised and educated in Louisiana and Gary, Indiana.
He moved to Brooklyn, NY where he met and married Mary Wilkins on June 28,
1964. The union was blessed with one daughter, Lisa Lovely.
Bro. Lovely became a Mason, following in his fathers footsteps. He was a
member of Jacob Grand Lodge A.F. & A.M. for many years. He worked his way up
to 33rd Degree. He also became a Worshipful Master of J.J. Lovely Lodge No.9.
He was very proud of his accomplishments.
No one was a stranger to Bro. Lovely. He made many friends; everyone he met
loved him and valued his friendship. His love and patience touched many
children and adults. He will truly be missed by all.
Bro. Lovely and his companion, Ms. Mary McGhee, moved from Brooklyn, NY to
Dawson, GA. in 2003; where he resided until his death.
Precious memories of a life well-lived are left to his wife, Mary J. Lovely
of Wilmington, NC; daughter Lisa Lovely of Brooklyn, NY; his grandson, Brian
K. Sprouse, Jr. of Brooklyn, NY; his extended family members, Mary McGhee,
Valarie McGhee, Fanchon McGhee, Miracle McGhee and Alexi McGhee, all of
Dawson, GA; a brother, Charles J. Lovely of Los Angeles, GA; two sisters,
Carol Ann Lovely of Los Angeles, CA and Constance Simpson of Houston, TX and a
host of nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, lodge brother and sisters,
neighbors and friends.
