Frances R. Blair

SYLVESTER — Frances R. Blair, 82, of 104 Monk St., Sylvester, died Sunday, April 20, 2008 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.

A graveside funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hillcrest Cemetery. The Rev. Jason Jones will officiate.

Born in Montgomery Co., North Carolina, Mrs. Blair was the daughter of the late Newton Willis Sykes and Helen Lassiter Sykes. She has lived in Sylvester since 1984 moving here from Putney. She was a homemaker who enjoyed playing Bingo; she was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include three daughters, Patricia Solomon, Janice Bryan and her husband, Gerald, all of Sylvester, Kathleen Akridge and her husband, Ray of Lee County; a son, James R. Blair of Warner Robins; a sister, Mildred French of High Point, NC; six grandchildren, Reid and Cale Bryan, Bobby Sapp, Sharmon Greco, Amanda Blair and Rachel McCandless; four great- grandchildren, Amanda, Beth and Stephen Greco and Mckenzie Bryan; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends today (Monday) from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at Banks Funeral Home.

Wayne Robert Fuller

ALBANY — Wayne Robert Fuller ”Bud”, 84, died Saturday, April 19, 2008. He was a former resident of Columbus and Albany. The memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Kimbrell- Stern Funeral Directors. A private interment will be held in Park Hill Cemetery in Columbus at a later date.

Claire B. Jenkins

ALBANY — Claire B. Jenkins, 75, of Crossville, TN, formerly of Albany, died Friday, April 18, 2008 at Cumberland Medical Center.

Her funeral service will be Wednesday 11 a.m. at Kimbrell- Stern, with a private interment service to follow. The Rev. Eric Sizemore will officiate.

There will be a memorial service in Crossville, TN. at a later date.

A native of Marion County, FL, Mrs. Jenkins had lived in Albany since 1946. She moved to Crossville, TN, in January 2005. She was a 1950 graduate of Albany High School. Mrs. Jenkins retired from Dougherty County Department of Family and Children’s Services in 1994. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Crossville, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents: David Allen Bedenbaugh and Pauline McDonald Bedenbaugh; her siblings: David Bedenbaugh Jr., Jewel B. Long, and Emery Bedenbaugh.

Mrs. Jenkins is survived by her husband, Wallace B. “Bob” Jenkins of Crossville, TN; a son, Charles E. “Chuck” Jenkins of Terrell County, GA; a daughter, Barbara Jenkins Tomlinson and her husband Rob, of Lilburn, GA; three grandchildren, Mathew Tomlinson of Lilburn, GA, Carmen M. Fennell of Leesburg, GA, and Erin T. Hughes and her husband Blake, of Lawrenceville, GA; a great-grandchild, Devon E. Fennell of Leesburg, GA.

The family will receive friends at Kimbrell-Stern on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m.
