Sherwood produces sweet production

  • The Sherwood Christian Academy middle school theater class will be performing “Willy Wonka Junior”

ALBANY — Forty-four Sherwood Christian Academy sixth-eighth graders will be presenting a “Willy Wonka Junior” musical production at 7 p.m. Thursday-Friday with dinner preceding at 6:30 p.m.

Both shows will be at the Sherwood Christian Academy Upper Campus, 1418 Old Pretoria Road.

Vickie Knuckles, director of the play and music and drama teacher, said they chose the musical for their spring production because it is new and entertaining for the whole family.

“It’s great family entertainment,” Knuckles said. “It’s a great show and a very familiar show so they (the audience) will enjoy it.”

Lindsey Short will be playing Willy Wonka, Jud Spencer will be Charlie Bucket and Brandon Edmunds will be Grandpa Joe.

Tickets are $10 and can be bought with or without dinner before the show. Reservations are required for the dinner.

For more information and to make dinner reservations, call (229) 883-5677.
