Last Updated: 12:14 AM 09/02/10 - Quite frankly, if city officials try to argue there is only “one” finalist, as their counterparts on the Dougherty County School System did earlier this year, it will be a thumb to the eye of the public. Naming two finalists is inadequate under Georgia’s Sunhine Law, but at least giving the public a look at two choices before handing the job to one would allow the people whose support is needed if Albany is to ever revitalize its downtown district a chance to see whether their city officials are working in their best interests.
