Board the Vulcan Steam train in the darkness and follow a guide book as you walk on a lamp-lit path through a historic Christmas Eve in a Victorian village. Re-enactors will represent families from that time period engaged in holiday celebration. Shop the Victorian marketplace, hear the shape note singers, and stop for a cup of hot cider by the village bonfire. Father Christmas and Old Befana will greet visitors at the beginning of the route with an old folk tale and a keepsake. Cost is $15, individual; $25, couple. All tickets sold in advance at the museum's country store. There are six time slots available -- 5:30 p.m., 6 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 7 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. and only 25 people per time slot.
