Students entering grades four through nine this fall have an opportunity to learn about Chinese culture at a week-long workshop. Participants do not have to have an exposure to the Chinese language to participate. The workshop will feature a teacher who is fluent in both English and Chinese, as well as experienced in teaching art. With a small teacher/student ratio, participants will learn useful Chinese expressions, written characters and numbers; create Chinese handcrafts such as origami, calligraphy and painting, and experience Chinese culture and traditions through songs, videos and interaction with the instructor.
