ALBANY — Southwest Georgia thespians should head to Theatre Albany next week to audition for the upcoming production of Tom Ziegler’s “Gracie and Glorie.”
Tryouts will be held 7:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the organization, located at 514 Pine Ave.
Parts will be cast for two women who will portray characters in their late 30s and 90s.
“Auditions are open to the community and will consist of cold readings from the script,” a news release states.
Directed by Mark Costello, “Gracie and Glorie” tells the story of a pair of strong-willed women with differing backgrounds, who form an unexpected and strong bond.
“As the two women warily get to know each other, they drop their masks and reveal their secrets, their dreams, their fears,” the release states. “Beautifully written by Tom Ziegler, the play is stunningly lyrical and hilariously funny.”
Performances will be held March 19-21-26-28 and April 1-3.
