History’s odd turns sometimes help preserve it

Last Updated: 11:11 AM 08/29/10 - I grew up in Lowell, Ga. For those of you who don’t know where Lowell is, it’s halfway between Whitesburg and Roopville. My house was about two miles from the Chattahoochee River and four miles from the former home of William McIntosh. The site is now a park owned by Carroll County. It was one of McIntosh’s plantations and was called Lockchau Talofau or Acorn Bluff.
