ALBANY — Agents with the Georgia Bureau Of Investigation say they are continuing their investigation of a high speed chase through Calhoun County Friday that ended with the death of Chad Pierce.
Mark Pro, GBI assistant special agent in charge, said GBI agents are interviewing witnesses who were at the scene and will be reviewing dashcam videos from cruisers of the different police agencies who were involved in the chase.

"We have one or possibly two videos that captured the chase," he said. "We are looking for anything of evidentiary value."
Pro said that along with the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office, police from Arlington and Edison were also involved during the incident.
Pierce was shot by Officer James Kopkie of the Edison Police Department, after leading law enforcement agencies on a 20-mile chase from Edison to Arlington after he failed to comply to a traffic stop.
Investigators said that Pierce was traveling in excess of 90 mph in his Chevrolet Avalanche pickup truck along Calhoun County's rural roads.
Pierce eventually crashed into a ditch at the end of Pioneer Road at Woodvalley Road.

According to Mike Lewis, GBI special agent in charge, Pierce was shot by an Edison police officer when he reached into the console and glove department of his vehicle.
