Accused Terrell County armed robber in custody
Last Updated: 10:38 AM 11/20/09 - Desmond Russ, a man wanted by Terrell County authorities for a series of home invasion robberies was arrested by Dougherty County Sheriff's Deputies around 10:30 a.m. this morning in Albany after a tip from a confidential informant, authorities say.

Marine base to reopen Exchange, renovated facilities

Albany football team to be named Panthers

Albany city commissioners are expected to decide Nov. 24 whether to sign an 18-month contract with the Southern Indoor Football League team, which would replace the South Georgia Wildcats of the defunct af2 and play at the Civic Center.
