Sante Fe women beat Darton back-to-back

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — For the second time in a week, the Darton women were beaten by Sante Fe Community College, this time, 63-57, on Tuesday night.

And the second time around actually felt a little worse, Lady Cavs coach Laura Blackwell said.

“It’s tough. Back-to-back losses to the same team hurts, but we’ve got to pull together and get ready for (today),” she said.

Today’s game, meanwhile, will be against the Brewton Park JV at home, rather than on the road, which was what the Lady Cavs’ schedule originally stated.

Game time is set for 5:30 p.m.

Leading Darton on Tuesday was the one-woman show of Dominique Gilbert (28 points, 20 rebounds). Gilbert was the only player in double figures for the Lady Cavs (4-5).
