ALBANY -- The Flint RiverQuarium is gearing up for the giving season as it spreads a little Christmas cheer -- in the form of a price break -- to Albany and Doughtery County residents.
"For the month of December, we are offering residents of Albany and Dougherty County a chance to visit the aquarium for only $5," said Wendy Bellacomo, Director of Marketing and Development for the Flint RiverQuarium.
She said the RiverQuarium was searching for a way to show thanks to the community for supporting the aquarium for five years.
"We celebrated our fifth birthday in September and it's a way to give back to the community," said Bellacomo. "The $5 ticket is a combo ticket; the price includes the RiverQuarium and a movie in the the Imagination Theater.
"It's the complete package."
The regular prices for a combo ticket ranges from $10 for children 4-12 to $14 for adults.
The promotional admission price called by the aquarium, "A Season of Giving," is only available to Albany and Dougherty residents, said Bellacomo.
In order to take advantage of the promotional admission price, visitors must show a proof of residency such as a driver's license. The price includes all age groups.
