TIFTON -- Southwest Georgia will be aglow this week as the Tifton Heritage Foundation presents its annual Candlelight Tour of Homes in the Historic District.
The event will be held 6 p.m.-9 p.m. Thursday.
Tickets, $10 each are available at Three Graces, Between Friends and Giggles Cafe, the Floor Shoppe -- Glynn Hendricks Interiors and Kate Hill Cottage. They will also be available the night of the event at the Tifton Museum of Arts and Heritage, located at 255 Love Ave.
Thursday's tour features the Tifton homes of Rusty and Judy Simpson at 1020 College Ave., Larry Creamer and Lila Creamer at 809 College Ave. and Jeremy Hobbs and Mike Hobbs at 609 Ridge Ave.
Carriage rides and dinner are also available for an additional $10 each.
To help participants get the most out of the event, they will receive a map of the tour route, along with a history and description of each house along the tour.
"At each home, you will hear details about the architecture, changes made throughout the years, as well as stories about the home and its former owners," stated Tifton Heritage Foundation President Darlene Pilcher in a news release. "Hopefully, history will come to life a little as you meander through a residence which has been prepared especially to make your evening enjoyable."
