ALBANY -- A 30-year-old man found dead Tuesday in a Lee County home has been identified as Daniel Boyd Delk.
Delk died while staying with friends at 112 Hawkstead Drive, said Trebor Randle, special assistant agent-in-charge with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
"An autopsy was done today (Wednesday), but we are awaiting the results of the toxicology (tests)," Randle said. "There were no drugs at the scene, but he had a history of drug use."
Until the toxicology results are released, Randle would not talk about a possible cause of death.
Mary Sikes, the homeowner, lives in the brick ranch-style home with her son, Randle said. Their relationship to Delk was not known, but Delk had just moved to Georgia from Florida, she added.
Delk's previous city of residence from was unknown, Randle said.
Lee County sheriff's deputies had responded to the call around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. The investigation was then turned over to the GBI.
