ALBANY -- Apartments in the east wing of the Hudson Malone Towers apartment building are ready for occupancy, Dan McCarthy, executive director of the Albany Housing Authority.
"Units 101-111, 201-211, 301-311, 401-411 and 501-511 are now operational," McCarthy said in an e-mail.
A staff member will be available to escort residents of the 401 Flint St. elderly and handicapped apartment building to their apartment and check them in, the e-mail stated.
Also, residents in apartments 212-214, 312-314, 412, 512-514 could check in Wednesday, said Michael Allen, property manager. Apartments 413 and 414 should be ready Friday, he added.
Due to water remaining from extinguishing Monday's kitchen fire on the fourth floor, apartments 215-221, 315-321, 415-421 and 515-521 cannot be occupied.
