Lee County Chamber to hold banquet
LEESBURG -- The Lee County Chamber of Commerce will host its 21st annual banquet today.
The event will be held 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at Hasan Temple.
Admission is $35 per person or $250 per table, which seats eight.
Featured entertainment will be comedian Charles Marshall.

Another Level to host Toy Run benefit
ALBANY -- Another Level Biker Club will hold a Toy Run Saturday.
Registration for the event begins at 9:30 a.m. at the Wal-Mart parking lot.
Admission is $10 per rider and a new wrapped toy.
Participants will leave for a motorcyle ride at noon and arrive at Honda of Albany at approximately 2 p.m.
That evening, the club will host an after-ride party at 9 p.m. at D.T. Live, located on Dawson Road, next to the Shoe Box.
Admission is $5 at the door.
Proceeds from both events will fund Another Level's upcoming Christmas Party for children enrolled in the Easter Seals of Southern Georgia's Respite and Family Support Program.
OakCrest to host 2nd fall festival
LEESBURG -- OakCrest Academy Child Development Center will hold its 2nd annual fall festival today.
The event is scheduled for 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the facility, which is located on Oakland Parkway.
Tickets are $5 per person, with no charge for infants, available at OakCrest.
Ticket holders receive a free bag of popcorn and an active card to be punched at each activity.
The festival features 11 child-friendly room activities, including face painting, a beanbag toss, a cakewalk and an outdoor hayride.
The event will also include a silent auction, with proceeds funding Oakcrest classroom supplies, playground equipment and the creation of a media room, which will consist of filled bookshelves, beanbag chairs equipped with headphones linking users to books on tape and operational computers containing educational games.
Garden Club selects Yard of the Month
ALBANY -- The home of G.W. Chapman has been named the Albany Daffodil Garden Club's Yard of the Month for November.
Located at 1104 Pinecrest Drive, the yard is situated on a corner lot that contains a variety of foundation plantings.
"Many beautiful areas throughout the yard," club representative Marideane Maxwell stated in a news release.
Rhema Word to host missions
ALBANY -- Rhema Word International Ministries will host "Say Ya Piece: Celebrating a Global Cause" Friday.
The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Rhema Word, located at 1512 Williamsburg Road.
Admission is $7 in advance and $10 at the door. Proceeds will benefit Stand Up Again International Missions Outreach.
The evening will include spoken word, music and art.
