ALBANY -- Albany police have identified a Sunday night slaying victim as Bobby Lee Clay-Minor, 53.

Albany police found Clay-Minor's body about 9:55 p.m. Sunday when they responded to the 400 block of Alice Avenue to a report of shots being fired in that area, Albany Police Department officials said.

According to police documents, when officers arrived on scene they found Clay-Minor's body lying near apartment number two. Emergency medical service personnel were dispatched, but were unable to revive Clay-Minor. The initial investigation revealed that Clay-Minor had been fatally shot.

APD spokeswoman Phyllis Banks said that an exact cause of death will be determined after an autopsy.

"We are also trying to determine where these shots came from (that were reported)," she said.

Banks said the apartment where Clay-Minor was found was not believed to be his residence. She said that investigators are continuing to investigate the slaying and that there are no suspects at this time.
