Citizens asked to show a little Faith for women

ALBANY -- Southwest Georgians who are starting to feel the giving spirit of the holidays are invited to join Faith Community Outreach Center in celebrating its 12th anniversary by helping sponsor the center's 2010 calendar.

Sponsors will be listed on calendars that will be given to ticketholders at Faith Community Outreach's anniversay celebration banquet Dec. 4.

Bishop Victor Powell of Rhema Word International Ministries will be the featured speaker at the center's annual banquet, which will be held at 7 p.m. at the Amehr Event and Conference Center, 610 W. Oglethorpe Blvd.

"The banquet will have a little bit of everything: inspirational thoughts by a number of board members, entertainment and a message from Bishop Powell," said Monica Daniels, a case manager who has worked with Faith Community Outreach Center for more than four years. "Obviously, the focus of the event will be in raising money for the center."

Donation ads for the center's 2010 calendar are $25 for a quarter-page, $50 for a half-page and $100 for a full page. Camera-ready copies of the ads should be e-mailed to faithcommunityoutreach@yahoo.com or dropped off at the center's 425 W. Society Ave. offices by Monday.

Supporters may also, for a $125 donation, reserve a table that seats six or purchase individual tickets for $25. Each person who attends the banquet will receive a calendar.
