ALBANY -- Emilee Cook saved the day for Sherwood Christian Academy.
While pouring in a game-high 21 points, Cook drained the game-winning turnaround jump shot in the lane to cap a wild fourth-quarter comeback in a 47-45 victory for Sherwood against Grace Christian on Monday.
Sherwood outscored Grace, 16-7, in the fourth quarter to pull off the comeback victory.
Nobody else was in double figures for Sherwood, but Megan Barker and Princess Williams both chipped in seven points.
Brock Bailey led Grace Christian with 20.
Sherwood moves to 3-0 on the season and hosts Crisp Academy tonight at 6:30 p.m.
David Emanuel 53, Terrell Academy 50:
The Lady Eagles of Dawson opened up 2009 on a losing note Monday, one season after winning it all in Class A.
Alex Barfield scored 17 and Miller Foster had 16, but it wasn't enough to stop David Emanuel's Jasmine Phillips, who led all scorers with 19 points.
The Lady Eagles (0-1) led, 26-18, at the half, but Emanuel outscored Terrell, 35-24, in the second half to edge out a 3-point win.
