Laura Williams is deputy news editor of The Albany Herald. Williams is in charge of the newspaper's news desk, supervising copy editors and paginators.
A native of Americus, GA, Williams is a graduate of Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA, where she received a bachelor's degree in Communication Arts with a minor in Broadcasting. Williams was inducted into Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities and is a member of the leadership society Omicron Delta Kappa. She joined the Albany Herald news staff in August 2008 as a page designer and copy editor.
Williams' responsibilities include writing and editing copy, designing pages and helping to maintain the Herald's website and social media outlets.
