ALBANY, Ga. -- Terrance Wilkes, 26, is wanted for aggravated assault, cruelty to a child, possession of a firearm by a felon and terroristic threats and acts, according to Albany Police Department.
"On March 13 Wilkes' ex-girlfriend told police that he pointed a gun at her and threatened her life," said Phyllis Banks, police spokeswoman. "He fired the weapon in the air on the 2100 block of Tompkins Avenue at approximately 11 p.m."
Wilkes stands 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 160 pounds, Banks said.
His hair is black and he has brown eyes. His last known address is 1106 Van Deman St., she added.
Anyone with additional information should call Crime Stoppers at (229) 436-TIPS (8477) or (229) 431-3288.
A new Spanish voicemail feature has been added to the tip telephone lines to better serve the Hispanic community. The "APD-COP Tip Line" (229) 434-2677 allows Spanish speakers to call in 24-hours a day to report criminal activity in Spanish or leave a message to ask to speak to a Spanish speaking officer.
In case of an emergency 911 should always be called. It has an emergency translation service available.
"The APD-COP Tip Line hopes to encourage Hispanic citizens to assist local law enforcement agencies in the fight against crime in their communities," Banks said.
