A sentencing date has not been set by the court, but the recommended sentence for the deal was up to 27 years in prison. Had Fletcher been convicted of the charges against him, he faced a mandatory lifetime prison sentence.
Authorities say the case is connected to one of the largest drug operations ever uncovered in Lee and Terrell counties. Several individuals who have been sentenced to prison in connection with that investigation of that multimillion-dollar drug operation were mentioned in secret law enforcement recordings of conversations Fletcher had with Jeff Boyd, who was cooperating with authorities.
