A representative with the public affairs office at Marine Corps Logistics Base-Albany has confirmed that Brig. Gen. James A. Kessler, commanding general of Marine Corps Logistics Command, has been notified of a promotion.
Deputy Public Affairs Officer Colie Young said that Kessler has been selected for the rank for major general, which would make him a two-star general, but currently has no idea when he will be able to wear it.
Young said officials at the base would release additional information as it becomes available.
