ALBANY -- The Sherwood Christian Academy baseball team ended an up-and-down regular season on a high note Thursday, downing Crisp Academy, 7-2, behind Zane Hood's team-high fifth home run of the season. Hood, a Lee County transfer this past offseason, finished 2-for-3 with 3 RBI, a double and a homer.

Robert Wilson picked up the win, pitching a complete game and giving up just four hits, while striking out seven.

Wilson also had a solid day at the plate, going 2-for-3 with an RBI and a double.

SCA (7-7) now turns its attention to next Friday and the state playoffs, which it will open next week against No. 1 seed Brentwood. The Eagles will enter the state tournament as a No. 4 seed.
