APD Spokesperson Phyllis Banks says that 59-year-old Murray Scott is in serious condition after being struck by what is believed to have been a dark colored truck or SUV on the 1200 block of Madison Street around 9:25 p.m. Saturday.
Banks says that the police are searching for the vehicle and are soliciting the public's help.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Albany Police Department at 431-2100 or Crimestoppers at 436-TIPS.
