ALBANY, Ga.: APD Spokesperson Phyllis Banks said that investigators are investigating an incident reported on the 1200 block of Kingstown Court this morning in which a woman reported that a man had broken into her home overnight and was still in the home when she awoke.
No other details on that incident were immediately available.
In a separate incident, an Albany woman reported to police that a man jumped into her vehicle near Hugh Mills Stadium and forced her to drive to South Albany.
At some point during the trip, the woman and the man both escaped from the vehicle, Banks said. Police are investigating that incident as a possible motor-vehicle theft and kidnapping.
