ALBANY -- The Anna Laine Brock Express pulled into the station Monday -- and when she pulled out, she left with her first no-hitter of the season
Brock, a 2009 Herald All-Area selection, struck out 10 Westwood batters Monday during an 11-0 Sherwood rout that lasted just five innings. Brock and SCA both moved to 6-2 on the season as Kaylee Dixon led the way from the plate, going 3-for-3, followed by Jordan Cox (2-for-3) and Christina Charles (2-for-2).
Brock, who is just a freshman, now has an ERA of .750. Sherwood plays again today at home vs. Crisp Academy at 4:30 p.m., while Westwood plays Terrell Academy on Thursday at home.
