TIFTON -- Worth's Lady Rams had a slow start against Class AAAAA Tift County on Tuesday, 13-4, but bounced back to win easily, stretching their winning streak to six in a row.
The Lady Rams, ranked seventh in the Class AAA state poll, are now 11-1 after storming back from a 4-0 deficit. Tift scored four in the bottom of the second, then Worth took over.
The Lady Rams hammered Tift as the Ellis twins -- Haley and Heather -- both had big games. Haley went 4-for-5 with a double and drove in two runs while Heather went 2-for-2, scored four runs, drove in two runs, and hit a triple that almost cleared the fence.
Lauren Potts gave up only six hits (two after the second inning) while striking out seven to improve to 4-0 on the mound. She also went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBI. Kimmy Lee went 3-for-5 and scored a run, and Kelly Weaver went 2-for-3.

SCA 5, TIFTAREA 3:
Casie Wright's three-run triple was the difference Tuesday as the Lady Eagles improved to 8-3 on the season and 1-1 in region play. Payton Couch also had a double and RBI and Kristina McNutt was 2-for-3. SCA ace Anna Laine Brock proved she was mortal by giving up six hits and striking out just four, but her season ERA is still impressive at .070.

RANDOLPH SOUTHERN 9, WESTWOOD 1 (5):
Madison Ragan struck out nine and allowed just two hits, then hit two doubles and recorded two RBI. Teammate Parker Rigsby also had a big game, with a double and two RBI as Randolph improved to 3-2 overall and 1-0 in region.
