Boys
1.) Monroe 5-0
Monroe got a scare on Friday in an overtime win against Crisp County, but bounced back with a 60-46 win against Terrell County. Next: Vs. Mt. Zion, Saturday in U-Save-It, 5 p.m.
2.) Bainbridge 3-1
The Bearcats are unbeaten when Devon Baulkmon plays and won a big game at Thomasville on Saturday night. The rematch is tonight. Next: Vs. Thomasville, today, 7:30 p.m.
3.) Westover 4-3
The Patriots blew out Worth, won an emotional thriller, 67-64, against Dougherty on Friday, then were upset by Albany in OT on Saturday. Next: Vs. Lanier in U-Save-It, Saturday, 5 p.m.
4.) Dougherty 2-1
The Trojans have beaten Albany and Cairo but lost a tough one at Westover on Friday. They look like a force in Region 1-AAA. Next: Vs. Bulloch in the U-Save-It, Saturday, 8:30 p.m.
5.) Terrell County 4-1
The Greenwave jumped out to a 4-0 start without a close game until they fell to AAA Monroe on Saturday night. Next: At Americus-Sumter, Saturday, 7:30 p.m.

Girls
1.) Westover .....9-0
The Lady Patriots had easy wins against Worth and Albany, and turned a close game into a 46-26 win against Dougherty. Next: Vs.TBA in Good Life Classic, Friday,TBA.
2.) Bainbridge..............................................................3-3 They bounced back from a 64-60 loss to Colquitt County to beat Thomasville, 46-45, on Saturday, and have a rematch tonight. Next: Vs. Thomasville, today, 6 p.m.
3.) Americus-Sumter................................................5-1
The Lady Panthers had a big win against Monroe, but fell to Cairo, 57-53, to stop their 5-0 run out of the blocks. Next: Vs. Terrell County, Saturday, 6 p.m.
4.) Monroe................................................................5-3
The Lady Tornadoes bounced back from a road loss to Americus-Sumter and beat Crisp and Terrell County at home. Next: Vs. Westside Macon, Saturday, 6 p.m.
5.) Pelham................................................................6-0
A new coach, a new attitude and a lightning fast start have landed the Lady Hornets in the Top 5 this week. Next: Vs. Webster County, today, 6 p.m.

Player of the Week
McArthur Gaines, senior, guard, Dougherty.
Gaines, a Super 6er, had a monster week for the Trojans with back-to-back 28-point games as he led Dougherty to a win against Cairo on Tuesday and had an inspiring night in a 67-64 loss to Westover, scoring 28 points despite sitting out with foul trouble.
