AMERICUS, Ga. -- A 26-year-old Plains resident sits in Sumter County Jail charged with multiple felony charges involving cocaine, stated a Sumter County Sheriff's Office report issued Friday.
Bradley Jason Perry was arrested on December 16 in Americus, the report stated. "Shortly thereafter a search warrant was executed at the residence."
After a search of 115 Pecan Circle in Plains, deputies found enough cocaine to charge Perry with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and trafficking in cocaine. The amount of the drug involved was not immediately available from the Sheriff's Office.
"The search warrant was conducted after the culmination of a lengthy, multi-agency investigation," Sheriff Pete Smith said in an e-mail.
Involved in the investigation with Sumter deputies were personnel from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Region 15, the Lee County Sheriff's Office, the Drug Enforcement Agency in Columbus, the State Probation Office and the Plains Police Department.
