HERALD ALL-AREA BOYS CROSS COUNTRY TEAM:
Jacob Kennedy, Junior, Lee County
STATS: Was a state qualifier in Class AAAA and one of the top runners in the area all season. He ran a personal best of 16:42 in the Westover Relays.
Greg Thorne, Senior, Westover
STATS: Won the Region 1-AAA title to qualify for the state meet, and ran a personal best of 16:46 in the Westover Relays.
Cole Koster, Senior, Westover
STATS: Was the runner-up behind Thorne in the Region 1-AAA meet to qualify for the state meet, and ran a personal best of 17:04 in the Westover Relays.
Sager Patel, Senior Westover
STATS: Finished third in the Region 1-AAA meet to qualify for the state meet and ran a personal best 17:31 in the Westover Relays.
Josh Mason, Sophomore, Westover
STATS: Finished fourth in the region and ran a personal best time of 17:47 in the Westover Relays.
Bryton Wenzel, Freshman, Baconton Charter
STATS: One of the top runners in the area as a freshman, Wenzel won the Region 1-A title to qualify for the state meet, where he ran a 17:35 to finish 23rd in Class A.
