ALBANY -- Minus a place to practice at the school, the Westover wrestling team overcame adversity this season to win its fourth consecutive area championship Friday night with 87 points, edging Perry (55), Cairo 45) and Dougherty (41).

The Patriots' practice facility at the school was turned into an in-school suspension room before the season started and have been relegated to practicing at Gillionville Baptist Church.

"Big, big thanks to their help," Westover coach Kevin Fretwell said. "I don't know what we would've done if Gillionville had come to the rescue."

Individual champs for Westover included LeMarcus Tillman (112 pounds), Reginald Sherman (125), Dylan Snapp (130), Colby Faircloth (135) and Javaz Williams (160).

Other local individual champs included two from Dougherty -- David Coe (285) and Reginald Coley (152) -- while Monroe had one, Eugene Watkins (189).
