AMERICUS -- Georgia Southwestern swept Barry, 12-8 and 3-2, in the season opener for the Hurricanes. Tyler Daniel and Jody Sellars were the winning pitchers.
No further information was available.
"Obviously, it's a good feeling when you can win two games against a quality program like that," GSW baseball coach Bryan McLain said. "We're excited about getting two wins.
"I'm absolutely proud of the team," he added. "I told them after the game it was a team effort. A few guys struggled at times, but we got some key two-out hits after that to pick the team back up."
