ALBANY -- Albany police responded to at least 50 incidents Saturday through Sunday, according to reports. Police responded to incidents including:
-- Aggravated assault involving a handgun on the 1300 block of East Broad Avenue. Police arrested Castanus Thomas, 27, and Rashawn Lunsford, 30, both of Albany, and charged them in connection with the assault, a police report stated. Thomas is in the Dougherty County Jail with no bond set, and Lunsford is in jail in lieu of $40,000 bail, a jail spokeswoman said.
-- Motor-vehicle theft by cutting through a fence and stealing an all-terrain vehicle on the 800 block of Radium Springs Road;
-- Burglaries on the 1400 block of Gillespie Avenue and the 200 block of Barton Avenue;
-- Entering an auto on the 2600 block of Dawson Road;
-- Theft by taking of four hubcaps after thieves keyed a car on the 2000 block of Leonard Avenue;
-- Deceased persons on the 2000 block of Evergreen Drive and the 400 block of Mulberry Avenue;
-- Terroristic threats and acts on the 2200 block of Jackson Street;
-- Possession of less than an ounce of marijuana on the 700 block of Corn Avenue;
-- Recovered property -- a wheelbarrow with a portable 5,000-watt electric generator -- found on the east side of 100 South Cleveland Avenue;
-- ID fraud warrant arrest on the 100 block of North Front Street;
-- Assault (family violence) on the 1300 block of Campbell Street and the 400 block of West Society Avenue;
-- Assault, a boyfriend threatened his girlfriend with a shotgun, on the 2000 block of Stratford Drive;
-- False imprisonment, battery (family violence) on the 200 block of Parker Avenue;
-- Stalking, assault (family violence) on the 200 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard;
-- Simple battery (domestic violence) on the 1500 block of Georgia Avenue;
-- Domestic disturbances (unfounded) on the 2400 block of South Jackson Street, the 200 block of West Tift Avenue, the 300 block of Vintage Road, the 900 block of Friendship Drive, the 100 block of Bridge Lane, the 700 block of Mobile Avenue and the 700 block of Bonny View Avenue.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County police responded to at least 14 calls Saturday, according to reports.
Police responded to incidents including:
-- Theft of a stove valued at more than $200 from a rented residence on the 400 block of Ramsey Road. The owner would not press charges if the stove was returned. The renter said he would return the stove. Charges are pending.
DOUGHERTY EMS: Emergency medical services responded to 49 calls on Sunday. There were 36 medical calls, 11 trauma calls and two other calls. Medical calls included three chest pains, seven respiratory problems, one person fainted, two altered mental states, one seizure, two mental problems, three miscellaneous pain calls, one cardiac arrest and 16 various medical calls. Trauma calls included three vehicle crash injuries, six falls and two lacerations. Other calls are typically standby for other units and patient transport.
