ALBANY — Outside of Georgia football coach Mark Richt’s annual stop in Albany in May to take part in the Southwest Georgia Bulldog Club’s annual kickoff, led by Dee Matthews, Richt will actually be in Albany sooner than that.

Today at the First Baptist Church of Albany at 145 Oakland Parkway, Richt will be the featured speaker on behalf of the local chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes — his first appearance for FCA in Albany in three years.

“We’ve had him for a breakfast a few years ago, but never a big dinner like this,” said area FCA director Bill Cox. “And the last visit was by invitation only. This one is open to anyone who’d like to come.”

Those planning to attend need to call Cox at (229) 881-5493 for reservations, and table sponsorships range from $750 to $5,000.

Any table sponsorship between $2,500 and $5,000 will automatically be entered into the raffle with one winner being selected from that group.
