The Gators (14-13, 7-7 Southeastern Conference) had lost their last three games, all against ranked opposition, by an average of 35 points before knocking off the Bulldogs for only the second time in the past 13 meetings.

Florida led by 14 in the second half, but went without a field goal for the final 8:49 and earned the win by hitting 22 of 29 from the free throw line down the stretch.

Georgia (20-7, 7-7) shot 42.3 percent from the field and cut the deficit to four with 29 seconds left, but had a turnover and a missed jump shot on its last two possessions.
