ALBANY -- City Commissioner Roger Marietta will host a community forum at 5:30 p.m. Thursday for residents of Ward 4 in room 101-B at Darton College.
The town-hall-style meeting will cover a variety of topics, including the city's new 311 telephone information system, crime rates and trends, and discussion of possible projects for the upcoming 1 percent sales tax referendum.
Marietta said he hopes to get community feedback on those and other issues and plans to discuss little-used exemptions for property taxes that may help put money back into pockets of local property owners who have been crunched by the recession.
For more information, e-mail Marietta at rmarietta@yahoo.com or call him at 894-2425.
