The Dougherty County School Board has agreed to provide the public with the identities and information on three candidates who were under consideration to replace retiring Superintendent Sally Whatley.
The agreement requires that the board release the information on three of the six candidates who were interviewed by the board during its abbreviated selection process.
Final copies of the agreement to end a lawsuit filed against the school board on Feb. 4 by The Albany Herald, WALB and WFXL, have been signed at the law offices of Langley and Lee.
