ALBANY -- Police are continuing to search for leads in at least three open murder investigations, officials say.
Gayle Jackson, Bobby Lee Clay-Minor and Yolanda Roundtree were all killed in 2009, investigators say, but no arrests have been made.
All three of the homicides occurred in November. Roundtree was found stabbed to death at her Wild Pines Apartment in East Albany on Nov. 7.
Clay-Minor was found shot to death on the 400 block of Alice Avenue Nov. 15. Jackson was found dead near a dumpster on Whitney Avenue on Nov. 26.
"Any information about these cases would be helpful for investigators," Albany Police Department spokesperson Phyllis Banks said. "If anyone knows anything, they should come forward. These are active and ongoing investigations.
Dougherty County Police are continuing an investigation into what they believe was the murder of Willie James Haggins. Haggins' body was found floating in the Flint River in September and police have yet to make an arrest in that case.
Two investigations from 2008 have also remain open.
Susie Hollingsworth was found dead at her home on Mock Road on April 30, 2008. Autopsy reports suggest that she died from blunt force trauma to the head. No arrests have been made in that case and no suspects have been announced by police.
The 2008 Valentine's Day murder of 24-year-old Cleveland Carter on Magnolia Street remains open, despite the fact that police have issued arrest warrants for Neil Smith and Yolanda Cleveland. Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to contact police.
