PREP HOOPS ROUNDUP: Westwood girls win; Worth boys, girls fall

CAMILLA -- Westwood's girls hoops team downed Georgia Christian, 51-48, on Saturday behind 14 points from Sumner Watson and 13 from Miller Singleton to improve to 7-4 on the season.

The Lady Wildcats next play Randolph Southern on Tuesday in their GISA Region 2-A opener.



The Lady Rebels gave the Lady Rams all they could handle thanks to a game-high 18 points from Antonia Graddic's 18 points and 13 more from Demetria King. Worth County was led by Christie Smith's 10 points.

On the boys side, three players scored in double figures during Turner's 81-51 win, including Chris Spears (24), Demarcus Daniels (20) and Demonte Madison (19).

Worth was led by Josh Alford's team-high 19 points.
