Club patron shot; club owner sought

ALBANY -- Gunfire ended an argument in early morning hours between a club manager and a patron.

Albany Police Department Spokesperson Phyllis Banks said police responded to a call of shots fired at Triple Diamond Lounge on the 1000 block of Clark Avenue Friday at 12:18 a.m., where officers found Johnny Holman, 34, suffering from a gunshot wound to the stomach.

"The manager of the club had gotten into an argument with a patron inside the club," said Banks. "The fight somehow managed to continue outside. At some point the manager shot the patron."

Police said Tony Reid, 42, shot Holman once with a handgun and then fled.

Holman was treated at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital for injuries that authorities said were not life-threatening.

Detectives are still investigating into the reason for Reid and Holman's fight and when the argument began.

Banks said police officials are continuing their search for Reid this morning.

Reid is described as a black male about 5 feet, 8 inches in height who weighs approximately 210 pounds. He was last seen wearing a tan hat and dark jeans.

Anyone with any information concerning the whereabouts of Reed is urged to contact the Albany Police Department at (229) 431-2100.
