AMERICUS -- Georgia Southwestern head women's basketball coach Kelly Britsky earned her 100th career NCAA coaching victory Saturday as the Lady Hurricanes improved to 2-0 in the Peach Belt Conference with a 60-52 win against Montevallo at the Storm Dome.
GSW jumped out to a 10-4 advantage, capped off by a Brandi Burris three-pointer, and held the lead over the opening 10 minutes of the game.
With the win on Saturday, the Lady 'Canes have recorded back-to-back Peach Belt Conference victories for the first time in school history.
GSW (7-5, 2-0) looks to remain undefeated in PBC play when they travel to Georgia College on Wednesday for a 5:30 p.m. matchup.

GSW MEN NEARLY PULL STUNNER:
The GSW men held a one-point lead (33-32) over 15th-ranked Montevallo at the halftime break, but was unable to hold on as the Falcons dominated the second half for a 69-49 win at the Storm Dome on Saturday afternoon.
Chris Rawls led Southwestern with 13 points and nine rebounds.
Tauras Dortch scored 14 points for Montevallo. Cecil Coleman added 13 points and Gerald January chipped in 11.
GSW (4-8, 0-2) travels to Georgia College on Wednesday for a 7:30 game.
