ALBANY -- After about three days on the run, Tony Bernard Reid turned himself in at the Dougherty County Jail at 10:30 a.m. Monday in connection with a Friday shooting, a police official said.
Reid was wanted for shooting Johnny Holman in the stomach during an altercation in the parking lot of the Triple Diamond Lounge, said Phyllis Banks, Albany Police Department spokeswoman. The lounge is located at the 1000 block of Clark Avenue.
"Reid was charged with aggravated assault," Banks said. "The case is still under investigation."
Reid is in jail with no bond set, a jail spokeswoman said.
Holman, 34, remained in Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in good condition Monday, said a hospital spokeswoman.
In the early hours at the lounge Friday, Holman, a patron and Reid, 43, the bar manager, became involved in an altercation inside the club, Banks said. It spilled out to the parking lot where Reid shot Holman once with a handgun,
she added.
