Westover's Danielle Glover led the Lady Patriots in a rout of Worth County on Tuesday.
ALBANY -- Danielle Glover scored 10 of her game-high 15 points in the second period as Westover broke open a close game and cruised to a 56-31 win against Worth County Tuesday night.
The Westover boys, meanwhile, also had little trouble Tuesday with its Region 1-AAA foe, crushing to an 80-56 victory behind Malcolm Sapp's 17 points.
The Lady Patriots (12-2, 5-1 in Region 1-AA), led 11-9 at the end of the first period before Glover sparked a 20-4 run that lifted Westover into a 31-13 halftime advantage.
Worth County (2-6, 1-3) never got closer than 18 points the rest of the game.
Denadria Walker led the Lady Rams with 14 points while Dytiesha Dunson chipped in 11 for the Lady Patriots.
Westover will visit Peach County Friday while Worth County entertains Dougherty.
For the boys, Sapp led the way and Westover emptied its bench, playing every man dressed out en route to a romp.
Westover (13-1, 5-1) led, 21-12, at the end of the first period and pushed that lead to 42-25 at the half, and 60-37 heading into the final 8 minutes. Brandon's Hudson's bucket gave the Patriots their biggest lead of the night at 30 points, 80-50 with 45 seconds left in the game.
Worth County, which fell to 5-10 and 1-3 in region play, was paced by a game-high 19 points from Josh Alford and 14 from Jatavius Rockwell.
Chris Wheeler added 13 points for Westover, which also got 11 from Shevren Keaton.
