You can't tell the players without a program. That's the story at Bainbridge, where Lady Bearcats coach Latreisha Moon is so upset with her players that she is overhauling her starting lineup.
"I'm shaking things up,'' said Moon. "I'm replacing three starters this week.''
Moon was furious with her team, and it wasn't just because the Lady Bearcats (13-2) lost to Colquitt County by four points on Friday. Moon was upset because of the lack of effort, the lack of energy.
"That was our first game coming back from the break, and they didn't play hard,'' Moon said. "They didn't play hard at all. There was no fire, no anything.
"I can't really say why we didn't play hard. I think they felt like they could just go out and beat them, because we had already beaten them," she added. "But anybody can be beat. We have been.''
The shakeup will come this week in practice, and the new starters will get their first chance to prove they can stay in the lineup Friday when Bainbridge travels to Tallahassee, Fla., to play Lincoln, a Class AAAAA school that the Lady Bearcats beat easily earlier this season.
"I hope (this gets their attention),'' Moon said. "I think they think nobody can out-play them. We'll see what happens.''
