ALBANY -- Attendants of the Albany Baptist Ministers Conference will be rolling up their sleeves Saturday in an attempt to help replenish the American Red Cross blood supply.
The drive will take place from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. at the Jake Edwards Fellowship Hall of First Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist, 512 Corn Ave.
There, attendants will draw blood from the arm of each preacher. Several members of area churches have already signed up to give blood.
The Albany Baptist Ministers Conference meets at 11 a.m. Tuesdays at First Mt. Olive.
The Red Cross must collect more than 6 million donations each year to meet the national need. They are the No. 2 supplier of blood to the armed forces.
