“Yes I plan to release my findings in that case tomorrow,” Edwards confirmed Monday.

Riggins was shot and killed by Albany Police Department Officer Eric Strom after she reportedly brandished a handgun and knife at the officer during a domestic violence call.

Family members have said publicly that they didn’t believe the official version of the story, after some neighbors told local media that Riggins was unarmed when she was shot.

Police responded to a call of a possible domestic dispute at the home of Eddie Anderson on West Gordon Avenue. When Strom arrived, he reportedly told GBI agents, who were called in to investigate, that Riggins was armed with a .357 handgun and a knife and that she fired at him, prompting him to pull his weapon, according to GBI Special-Agent-in-Charge Mike Lewis.
